I just got back from a leadership conference that I attended for 3 days in Orlando, Florida. I am always in search of ways to find my purpose, learn from others on how to overcome fear and what makes people successful. This was my goal going into this conference and I was blown away from what I learned in these three days. The most important thing I learned is to have faith! Was I expecting to learn this from a leadership conference? Not necessarily! I was expecting to get the how to’s and ways a leader can push their team to success, but what I left with is much more than that. In a nutshell, these are the 3 key concepts I learned on what it takes to be a true leader:
- Having faith in yourself first before you expect others to have faith in your abilities.
- Always have a system in place when making decisions that will affect people that follow you.
- Trust your intuition. If something feels right or wrong, you are probably right!
The last day of the conference, I left with the understanding that my spirit runs my conscious and my conscious makes my everyday decisions for me. So the question is, how can I change my spirit to guide me into making the right decisions for my team and make me a true leader??
Hasta la proxima,
Chelito
